Why I built Vacayos
14 years ago, low-cost airlines had just arrived in my home country — and for the first time, travel became accessible to everyday people. I saw a simple problem: flights were getting cheaper, but finding the best deal was still hard.
So I founded an online travel agency. We bundled flights and hotels with a light-asset model that let us offer better prices than the traditional giants. Travelers loved it, and we grew into one of the leading OTAs in the region.
But one problem never went away: prices constantly change, and most people don't know when to book. That's why I built Vacayos — a travel deal assistant that monitors prices 24/7 and alerts you the moment fares drop, so you save up to 75% without the guessing or the stress.
